Transcript
In this tutorial you will set up the emails your job board sends to employers, candidates and you. You need the free WP Career Board plugin, installed and active. It takes about three minutes. There are five steps. Set the sender name. Choose which emails go out. Change what an email says. Test and save. Then check what was sent. Step one. Set the sender name. Go to Career Board, then Settings, Emails. From Name is the name your emails come from. It starts as your site name. Save changes, under the card, keeps it. Under Email look, emails take the colour and logo from your Brand tab. Footer Text adds a line at the foot of every email. Step two. Choose which emails go out. Email templates lists every email, with who receives it: the admin, a candidate, an employer, a guest or a member. Every email is on to start with. Untick Enabled to stop one. With Pro, more emails join the list, such as job alerts and credit receipts. Step three. Change what an email says. Type a new Subject, or leave it empty for the default. Click Edit to change the message. Leave the message blank to use the ready-made one, or click Load default to start from it. Insert tag adds details such as the job title. Step four. Test and save. Send test, on any row, sends that email to your own admin address, so you can see it in your inbox. When you are done, click Save Email Settings, below the list. Step five. Check what was sent. The Email activity log lists recent emails: when, which template, the subject and whether it was sent. Filter by template or status to find a failed email fast, and click Refresh to see new ones. That is all five. Set the sender name, choose which emails go out, change what an email says, test and save, and check what was sent. Your job board emails are set up.
