Transcript

In this tutorial you will share your jobs with job sites, through an XML feed. You need WP Career Board Pro, installed and active. It takes about two minutes. There are four steps. Open Settings, Job feed. Turn on the feed. Copy the feed address. Then check the feed. Step one. Open Settings, Job feed. Go to Career Board, then Settings, and click Job feed. It is a Pro tab. The feed lists your live jobs in a format that Indeed, LinkedIn and other job sites can read. Step two. Turn on the feed. It is off on a new site. Switch on Publish XML feed. Here it is already on. Contact Email goes into every job, so job sites can reach you. Leave it empty to publish no address. Then click Save Feed Settings. Step three. Copy the feed address. Once the feed is on, Feed URL shows its address. Click Copy URL, and submit it to each job site you use. View Feed opens it, so you can check it first. Step four. Check the feed. Click View Feed. Here the feed's content is laid out one tag per line, so you can read it. Each live job is listed with details such as its title, link, company, city, country, description, salary, job type and deadline. Jobs past their deadline are left out. When you save a job, the feed is rebuilt, so job sites always get your current list. That is all four. Open Settings, Job feed, turn on the feed, copy the feed address, and check the feed. You can now share your jobs with job sites. Next in this series: Let people install the job board as an app.
