In this tutorial you will let visitors apply for jobs without creating an account, and see the form they fill in. You need the free WP Career Board plugin, installed and active. It takes about three minutes. There are five steps. Check the sign-in setting. Open a job as a visitor. Enter a name and email. Add a resume and send. Or ask visitors to sign in. Step one. Check the sign-in setting. Go to Career Board, then Settings, and click Sign-ups. Find Require login to apply. It is off by default, so visitors can apply with their name and email. Guest applications are limited to ten an hour from one connection. Step two. Open a job as a visitor. This is the job page for someone who is not signed in. Apply now is there. Click Apply now. The application panel opens, the same panel members use. Step three. Enter a name and email. A visitor fills in Your Name. Then Your Email. Both are required. Status emails about the application go to this address. Step four. Add a resume and send. Click to upload resume, and choose a PDF, DOC or DOCX file. A resume is required by default. Add a cover letter if you like, then click Submit Application. The visitor gets a confirmation email. Without an account, they cannot track or withdraw it. Step five. Or ask visitors to sign in. If you turn on Require login to apply and save, the job page changes. Visitors now see Sign in to apply, so only members can apply. Members can then track their applications in their dashboard. That is all five. Check the sign-in setting, open a job as a visitor, enter a name and email, add a resume and send, or ask visitors to sign in. You can now let visitors apply without an account. Next in this series: Track and withdraw your applications.
