How to let employers sign up in WP Career Board: check that sign-up is open, decide whether new accounts confirm their email, and see the registration page where an employer chooses Hire Talent and creates an account with a company profile.

In this tutorial you will let employers sign up on your job board, and see the page where they create their account. You need the free WP Career Board plugin, installed and active. It takes about three minutes. There are five steps. Open Settings, Sign-ups. Check that sign-up is open. Decide on email confirmation. Open the registration page. Then choose Hire Talent. Step one. Open Settings, Sign-ups. Go to Career Board, then Settings, and click Sign-ups, in the Candidates and Employers group. This card decides who can create an account on your job board, and how new accounts are checked. Step two. Check that sign-up is open. The first row, Open Sign-Up, tells you. When it reads On, candidates and employers can create their own accounts. If it reads Off, turn on Anyone can register under Settings, General. Until then, the sign-up page shows a registration closed notice. Step three. Decide on email confirmation. The Email Verification row has a switch. When it is on, new employers and candidates confirm their email before they can sign in. It stops sign-ups with addresses the person does not own. To keep a change, you click Save changes. Step four. Open the registration page. This is what a visitor sees before they have an account. One page serves both kinds of people. Find a Job is for candidates. Hire Talent is for employers. Step five. Choose Hire Talent. The employer form opens. The employer gives their name, a work email, a company name, website, industry, size and headquarters, and chooses a password. When they click Create Account, they become an employer with a company profile of their own. If email confirmation is on, they confirm their email first, then sign in to the employer dashboard. That is all five. Open Settings, Sign-ups, check that sign-up is open, decide on email confirmation, open the registration page, and choose Hire Talent. Employers can now sign up on your job board.
