In this tutorial you will run the WP Career Board setup wizard, which creates your job board pages and sets the main choices in a few minutes. You need the free WP Career Board plugin, installed and active. It takes about three minutes. There are five steps. Open the wizard. Create your pages. Choose sign-ups and job rules. Set emails and spam protection. Then finish setup. Step one. Open the setup wizard. It opens by itself the first time you activate the plugin. To run it again, go to Career Board, then Settings, and click Run Setup Wizard. If setup is already done, it says so. Click Re-run Setup Wizard to go through it again. The wizard takes about two minutes, and every answer can be changed later in Settings. The numbers across the top are its steps. Step two. Create your pages. The first step lists the pages your job board needs, such as Find Jobs, the two dashboards, and Post a Job. Find Candidates, Hiring pipeline and Job Map come with WP Career Board Pro. Pages you already have are kept. The rest are created for you. Click Create Pages and Continue, and the wizard moves to the next step. Step three. Choose sign-ups and job rules. On Sign-ups, Let people sign up allows candidates and employers to make their own accounts. Confirm email addresses makes new accounts click a link in their inbox before they can post or apply. On Jobs, Publish jobs without review is off, so every new job waits for your approval. Below it are the default listing length and the salary currency. Step four. Set emails and spam protection. On Emails, Sender name is the From name on every Career Board email. It starts as your site title. Below it, set the sender address, and where admin alerts go, such as new jobs waiting for review. On Spam Protection, a hidden trap always guards the sign-up, apply and post a job forms. Add a CAPTCHA, such as Cloudflare Turnstile or Google reCAPTCHA, if bots still get through. Step five. Finish setup. With WP Career Board Pro, two more steps come first, License and How Employers Pay. The last step is Sample data. Leave Demo Content on to add sample categories, companies and jobs, so you can see how the board looks. Turn it off for a live site. Then click Finish Setup. The wizard takes you to the Career Board dashboard. That is all five. Open the wizard, create your pages, choose sign-ups and job rules, set emails and spam protection, and finish setup. Your job board has its pages and its main settings. Next in this series: Set up your job board pages.
