In this tutorial you will find your way around the Career Board admin, so you know where everything lives before you post a job. You need the free WP Career Board plugin, installed and active. It takes about three minutes. There are six steps. Open the menu. Read the dashboard. Find your jobs. Find your applications. Find the settings. Then see your job board. Step one. Open the Career Board menu. In your WordPress admin, click Career Board, in the menu on the left. Its items hold your jobs, applications, candidates, companies and employers, then the job categories, types, locations, levels and tags, and Settings. Resumes, near the end, comes with WP Career Board Pro, which is active on this site. Step two. Read the dashboard. The first item opens it. Five numbers sit at the top. Active jobs, applications, employers, candidates, and jobs waiting for review. Pending Review lists the jobs waiting for your approval, with Approve and Reject beside each one. Recent Applications shows the five newest, with each one's status. Quick actions, below them, open the job form, the new user screen, and the settings. Step three. Find your jobs. Click Jobs. Every job on the board is listed, with its status, its company and who posted it. The links above the list filter it by status, such as Published and Pending Review. Flagged lists jobs that members have reported. Add New, at the top, opens the job form. Step four. Find your applications. Click Applications. Every application to every job is in one list, with the candidate, the job and the status. The tabs filter it by status, such as Submitted, Reviewing, Shortlisted, Rejected and Hired. Candidates, Companies and Employers, in the same menu, list the people and businesses on your board. Step five. Find the settings. Click Settings. The tabs down the side are in four groups. Jobs and Applications, Candidates and Employers, Emails and App, and Site. Click a tab to open it. Brand, for example, holds your colour and logo. Tabs marked Pro, such as Boards and Credits, come with WP Career Board Pro. Step six. See your job board. Open your site as a visitor. Find Jobs is the page job seekers browse, with a search box and filters. Each card opens the job it shows. Everything here comes from the screens you visited. That is all six. The Career Board menu, the dashboard, your jobs, your applications, the settings, and your job board. You now know where everything lives in WP Career Board. Next in this series: Run the setup wizard.
