How to choose how jobs are listed in WP Career Board: Settings, Jobs, the number of jobs per page, the default order, the default listing length, the default salary currency, the featured duration, and the sort list visitors see on Find Jobs.

In this tutorial you will choose how jobs are listed on your board, and the defaults each new job starts with. You need the free WP Career Board plugin, installed and active. It takes about three minutes. There are five steps. Open the Jobs tab. Choose the order and page size. Set the defaults for new jobs. Save your changes. Then see the job board. Step one. Open Settings, Jobs. Go to Career Board, then Settings. Jobs is the first tab, so it opens first. This tab sets how jobs are reviewed, how long they run, and how they are listed. Step two. Choose the order and page size. Jobs Per Page sets how many jobs show before Load more. The default is twelve. Default order sets the order before a visitor picks one. Featured, then newest, Closing soonest, Highest salary, or Oldest first. A keyword search always shows the best matches first. Step three. Set the defaults for new jobs. Default listing length is how many days a job stays open when the employer sets no deadline. It starts at thirty. Default Salary Currency is picked for new jobs. Employers can choose another on each job. Featured Duration is how many days a featured job stays on top before it returns to the normal order. Step four. Save your changes. The same tab holds other rules, such as approval for new jobs and hiding reported jobs. Each has its own tutorial. When you are done, click Save changes, at the foot of the tab. Step five. See the job board. As a visitor, open Find Jobs. The sort list reads Recommended. Until a visitor searches, that is your default order. When they search, Recommended shows the best matches first. Visitors can also pick any of the other four orders. That is all five. Open the Jobs tab, choose the order and page size, set the defaults for new jobs, save, and see the job board.
