Transcript

In this tutorial you will manage every application on your job board from one admin list. You need the free WP Career Board plugin, installed and active. It takes about three minutes. There are five steps. Open Applications. Narrow the list. Open an application. Change the status. Then export to a CSV file. Step one. Open Applications. Go to Career Board, then Applications. Every application on the board is here, newest first. The links on top sort them by status: All, Submitted, Reviewing, Shortlisted, Rejected and Hired, each with a count. Step two. Narrow the list. Click a job title in any row, and only that job's applications are listed. The chip above shows the job. You can also search by job title or candidate name, or click a status to see only those. Step three. Open an application. Click View on a row. You see the candidate, when they applied and the job. Below are their cover letter and resume file, which you can open or download. With Pro, you also see their answers to your questions, and View resume. Step four. Change the status. In the Status box, pick a new status under Change status, then click Save. The candidate gets an email. Quick actions do the same in one click: Shortlist, Mark Hired or Reject. Message opens your email to write to the candidate. Back in Applications, the Change status list in each row saves as soon as you pick, so choose with care. Step five. Export to a CSV file. Click Export all matching to CSV. You get every application the list shows, here for one job. To export only some, tick their rows and choose Export to CSV under Bulk actions. The file opens in any spreadsheet. That is all five. Open Applications, narrow the list, open an application, change the status, and export to a CSV file. You can now manage every application from the admin. Next in this series: Manage employer accounts.
