Transcript

In this tutorial you will feature a job, so it shows first on your job board with a Featured label. You need the free WP Career Board plugin, installed and active. It takes about three minutes. There are four steps. Mark the job as featured. Set how long it stays featured. Keep featured jobs first. Then see it on the job board. Step one. Mark the job as featured. Go to Career Board, then Jobs, and open the job. In Job Details, tick Featured listing. Then click Update. With Pro, employers can also pay credits to feature their own jobs. Step two. Set how long it stays featured. Go to Settings, Jobs. Featured Duration is the number of days. It starts at thirty. After that many days, the job goes back to the normal order on its own. Feature it again to start a new period. Step three. Keep featured jobs first. On the same tab, Default order reads Featured, then newest. That is the default. Pick another order, and featured jobs keep their label but no longer come first. They still lead keyword searches. Step four. See it on the job board. As a visitor, open Find Jobs. The featured job comes first, with a Featured label. The label stays on the card wherever the job is listed, so job seekers notice it. That is all four. Mark the job as featured, set how long it stays featured, keep featured jobs first, and see it on the job board. You can now feature a job at the top of the board.
