Transcript
In this tutorial you will find jobs that members have reported, check them, and decide what happens next. You need the free WP Career Board plugin, installed and active. It takes about three minutes. There are five steps. Find the reported jobs. See how many reports. Check the job. Dismiss or unpublish. Choose when jobs hide. Step one. Find the reported jobs. Go to Career Board, then Jobs, and click Flagged. It shows every job with open reports. You also get an email on the first report about a job, so you hear about it straight away. Step two. See how many reports. The Flags column counts the members who reported this job. Here it reads two reports. Each member can report a job once, so two reports means two different people. The job stays live while you check it. Step three. Check the job. Click View to open it as visitors see it. Read the title, the dates and the details. Ask whether it is real, still open, and fair to the people applying. Then go back to the Jobs list. Step four. Dismiss or unpublish. If the job is fine, click Dismiss flag. The reports are cleared and the job stays up. If something is wrong, click Unpublish. The reports are cleared and the job goes back to Pending, off the site, until it is approved again. Step five. Choose when jobs hide. Go to Settings, Jobs, and find Hide a job after this many reports. The default is three. When that many different members report a job, it is taken off the site as Pending until you review it. Zero never hides a job on its own. That is all five. Find the reported jobs, see how many reports, check the job, dismiss or unpublish, and choose when jobs hide. You can now handle reported jobs. Next in this series: Control when jobs close.
