How to approve or reject new jobs in WP Career Board: keep Auto-Publish Jobs off so employer jobs wait as Pending, find them under Career Board, then Jobs, read each one, then approve it or reject it with a reason the employer receives by email.

Transcript

In this tutorial you will check new jobs before they go live, and approve or reject them. You need the free WP Career Board plugin, installed and active. It takes about three minutes. There are five steps. Choose whether jobs wait for review. Find the jobs waiting. Read the job. Approve it. Or reject it with a reason. Step one. Choose whether jobs wait for review. Go to Career Board, then Settings. On the Jobs tab, find Auto-Publish Jobs. It is off by default. New jobs from employers are held as Pending until you approve them. Turn it on and save only if every job may go live at once. Step two. Find the jobs waiting. Jobs to review, in the top bar, shows how many wait. It opens Career Board, Jobs, on Pending Review. Each waiting job shows its company, the employer who posted it, and the date. Step three. Read the job. Click its title to open it. Check the pay, the deadline and the company. Then read the description below. The Publish box reads Pending Review. Publishing from here also counts as approving it. Step four. Approve it. Back in the list, point at the job and click Approve. A box asks you to confirm. Confirm, and the job is published at once. The employer gets an email saying it was approved. Step five. Or reject it with a reason. Reject sits beside Approve, in the list and in the Pending Review panel on the Career Board dashboard. Reject asks for a reason, which is optional. The job goes back to Draft, and the employer gets an email with your reason. The reason also shows on the job, so the employer can fix it and send it for review again. That is all five. Choose whether jobs wait for review, find the jobs waiting, read the job, approve it, or reject it with a reason. You can now approve or reject new jobs. Next in this series: Handle reported jobs.
