In this tutorial you will set the hiring stages that applicants move through on a board. You need WP Career Board Pro, installed and active. It takes about three minutes. There are six steps. Open the stage manager. Read the stages. Rename, recolour or reorder. Choose what a stage does. Add a stage. Then see the stages on the pipeline. Step one. Open the stage manager. Go to Career Board, then Settings, Boards. Each board has its own stages. Click Manage under the board's stage count. The Pipeline stages panel opens below the list. Every change you make in it saves at once, so there is no Save button. Step two. Read the stages. A new board starts with five: Screening, Interview, Offer, Hired and Rejected. They are the columns of the hiring pipeline, in this order, from top to bottom. Step three. Rename, recolour or reorder. Type a new name in a row, or click its colour box to pick a colour. The up and down arrows move a stage. Delete removes it, after you confirm. Its applicants move to the first stage left, and none are deleted. Step four. Choose what a stage does. The list in each row sets what happens when a card lands there. Mark as hired, or Mark as rejected, changes the application's status, and the candidate gets the usual status email. Keep the status leaves it as it is. Step five. Add a stage. Type its name in New stage name, pick a colour, and click Add Stage. It goes to the end of the list. When you are done, click Close. Step six. See the stages on the pipeline. Now you are signed in as an employer, on the hiring pipeline for one job. Its columns are the board's stages, in the same order. Applicants move through them from left to right. That is all six. Open the stage manager, read the stages, rename, recolour or reorder, choose what a stage does, add a stage, and see the stages on the pipeline. You can now set the hiring stages for a board. Next in this series: Move applicants through your hiring pipeline.
