Transcript

In this tutorial you will save a job search as an alert, so new matching jobs come to you by email. You need WP Career Board Pro, with the free WP Career Board plugin. It takes about three minutes. There are five steps. Save a search as an alert. Open your job alerts. Choose how often. Delete an alert. Then set alert limits as the owner. Step one. Save a search as an alert. You are signed in as a job seeker. On Find Jobs, search and filter until the list shows what you want. Then click Alert me, beside the count. Your keyword and filters are saved as a daily alert, and the button reads Alert saved. Step two. Open your job alerts. In your candidate dashboard, click Job alerts. Each alert shows the words and filters it watches for. Step three. Choose how often. Open the list beside the alert. Instant emails you when a matching job goes live. Daily sends one email a day. Weekly sends one on Mondays. A change saves at once. Daily and weekly emails go out only when at least one new job matches. Step four. Delete an alert. Click Delete on the alert you no longer want. Every alert email also has an unsubscribe link, which removes that alert in one click. Step five. Set alert limits as the owner. Now you are the site owner. Go to Career Board, then Settings, and click Job alerts. Guest alerts lets visitors save an alert with only their email. They confirm by email first. Alerts per person caps how many one person keeps, ten by default. Below, every saved alert is listed with its search, frequency, last sent date and status. That is all five. Save a search as an alert, open your job alerts, choose how often, delete an alert, and set alert limits as the owner. You can now get emailed when matching jobs are posted.
