Transcript

In this tutorial you will build a resume on the site, the one employers see when you apply. You need WP Career Board Pro, with the free WP Career Board plugin. It takes about three minutes. There are five steps. Open My Resumes. Start a new resume. Open the builder. Add an entry. Then save your resume. Step one. Open My Resumes. You are signed in as a job seeker. In your candidate dashboard, click My Resumes. Your resumes are listed here. The line at the top shows how many you have, out of how many the site allows. Two by default. Step two. Start a new resume. Click New Resume, and type a title, such as one for design roles. Then click Create, and the builder opens with your new resume. Keep one resume for each kind of role you want. Step three. Open the builder. Open a resume from My Resumes, or use Edit Resume in the menu. The builder shows the resume title at the top. Start with a Professional summary, a short overview of your experience and goals. Step four. Add an entry. Below are the sections: School, College or University, Work Experience, Certifications, Skills, Languages, and Portfolio and Links. Click a section to open it. Each entry is a row, with icons to edit or remove it. Click Add Entry, fill in the fields, and click Done. Step five. Save your resume. When you add or remove entries, or change the summary, click Save resume at the top. A message says Resume saved. Your resume is then ready to pick when you apply for a job. That is all five. Open My Resumes, start a new resume, open the builder, add an entry, and save your resume. You can now build a resume. Next in this series: Upload a CV you already have.
