How to edit, close and reopen your jobs in WP Career Board: My Jobs in the employer dashboard, the status chips and search, the Edit form, Close, and Reopen for a closed job.
Transcript
In this tutorial you will edit, close and reopen your jobs from My Jobs in the employer dashboard. You need the free WP Career Board plugin, installed and active. It takes about three minutes. There are five steps. Open My Jobs. Find a job. Edit a job. Close a job. Then reopen a job. Step one. Open My Jobs. You are signed in as an employer. In the employer dashboard, click My Jobs. Every job you have posted is here, with its status and the number of applicants. Step two. Find a job. The chips at the top show jobs by status: live, draft, pending, closed or rejected. Click Live to see only the jobs candidates can see now. Or search by words in the title. If you run more than one company, you can also filter by company. Step three. Edit a job. Each row has a button on the right, and a menu with three dots. Edit opens the same form you used to post, with the job filled in. Change what you need, and click Update Job. The job stays live while you edit it. With Pro, the main button is Pipeline, and Edit sits in the menu. Step four. Close a job. Use this when the role is filled or cancelled. Open the menu, and find Close. Close asks you to confirm. The job leaves the listings and stops taking applications. Applicants who are not hired or rejected are told the job is closed. Step five. Reopen a job. Click the Closed chip to find jobs you closed. Open the menu on a closed job. Reopen starts the listing again. Because it changes the board at once, you click Reopen only when you are ready. That is all five. Open My Jobs, find a job, edit a job, close a job, and reopen a job. You can keep your listings up to date. Next in this series: Review applications and change their status.
