A WordPress job board plugin is job board software that runs inside your own WordPress site. It adds a searchable board of jobs. A dashboard for employers, and one for candidates. And it keeps every application on your site. When you compare job board software, look for six things. Can employers post jobs themselves? Can you approve a job before it goes live? Can candidates apply on the site? Does it track each application? Does every company get a profile? And does it send the emails for you? Tracking is what makes it software and not a notice board. Each application starts as submitted. The employer moves it to reviewing, then shortlisted, and then hired, or rejected. The candidate gets an email when the status changes. Here it is on a real WordPress site. The board has search and filters, and every job has a page of its own with the company beside it. Apply opens a form on that same page. One button sends the application to the employer. Someone who is not ready to apply saves the job, and finds it later in their own dashboard. For you, the owner, every job sits in the WordPress admin, and a new one waits as pending until you approve it. The applications are here too, and you can export them to a file. Employers never see the admin. They get a four step form to post a job. Their applications, as a list, or as a board where they drag each card to the next stage. And a public company profile. It fits the site you already run. It is built from WordPress blocks, and works with block themes and classic themes. Any logged in member can apply, so the people already on your site do not need a second account. And guests can apply with a name and an email. Everything so far is free. The Pro version adds a resume builder, paid job posting with credits, and job alerts by email. A job map, several boards on one site, and custom fields. The other kind of job board software is hosted for you. That means a fee every month, where a plugin is free on hosting you already pay for. Their address, or your own domain. Your data on their servers, or in your own WordPress. Fixed features, or anything you choose to add. Each employer you sign up on a rented system is one more account to move later. Start on your own site, and there is nothing to move. WP Career Board is the job board plugin for WordPress. Install the job board this week, and post the first job yourself. Get WP Career Board.
